River Pathway Connections Block Party!

  • West Art 800 Buchanan Avenue Lancaster, PA, 17603 United States (map)

This River Pathway Connections event is made possible by a City of Lancaster Love Your Block “River Connections” and “Community Connections” grants.  We will be installing two sidewalk storm drain murals designed by PCAD students for the artists among us, erecting a LARGE, splashy water tap for the builders among us, learning about the watershed and cool iTree Tools for the nerdy, and nature journaling for the quiet, observant ones in our midst. We start off with a fun community Block Rite clean up and finish with a spoken word open mic with Sir Dominique Jordan and the Artivist Corp.

  • Block Rite Cleanup with the Artivist Corp

  • Sidewalk Mural Installation - meet & see our two artists at work

  • Storm Drains & Our Watershed - how they work & why it matters

  • Nature Journaling - observation, contemplation & interpretation

  • “Turn Off the Tap” - the giant water tap with a message

Bring your curiosity and join us where the Little Conestoga Creek meets the Conestoga River as we explore through art and science, the importance of our role protecting our local waterways.

There’s something for everyone who cares about protecting our greatest resource - water. For more information visit College Park Climate Action Neighborhood here!
